I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter and art liaison based in Tokyo, specializing in Japanese contemporary art, cultural interpretation, and cross-cultural communication.
My work focuses on translating the rich cultural context behind Japanese aesthetics for international audiences, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of what they encounter. I aim to convey the terroir of Japanese culture—the way it has been shaped by geography, social history, climate, and tradition—and to build bridges between Japan and the world through art and shared cultural understanding.
Before becoming a guide, I worked for many years at international financial institutions, where I conducted research on equities, fixed-income securities, and derivatives.
I am passionate about art, particularly contemporary art, ceramics, and crafts. I would be delighted to introduce you to Tokyo’s cultural attractions, art galleries, and shopping districts.
