August 15: Since it was still summer vacation, Takanawa Gateway was crowded with families with school-age children and young couples. Without a reservation, we looked for somewhere to have lunch in the Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 buildings, including Luftbaum on the 28th and 29th floors. However, finding a seat on a Saturday was impossible.

We then went to Maison Classic Salon, located on the third floor of the Takanawa Gateway Station building, outside the south exit. We were lucky to find it—it is a lovely, cozy, and modern restaurant serving light European meals, tea, and coffee.

I had grilled shrimp with American sauce, served with a soufflé and vegetables. It was very tasty and absolutely delicious.
